International flooring brand PERGO is immensely proud of its Scandinavian origin and wishes to do something to celebrate it. As Scandinavians, we take the right to express ourselves for granted, but that's not the case everywhere in the world.
Ever since PERGO invented laminate flooring, it has been the company's bestseller, a durable floor with a core of recycled wood. We decided to create a limited edition that relies on something other than just recycled wood, but on human rights. So, we filled the core of the floor with dangerous opinions and thoughts – in the form of pulp made out of banned articles, books, and lyrics from all corners of the earth. Making the floor something that could get you arrested in countries such as Russia, China, and other autocratic states. It also makes the floor something to take a stand on. Literally.
The project is currently in the planning stage and is scheduled for rollout early next year.
